Driver in training

I had Dylan out driving a few weekends ago. This was his first time. All-in-all, he did pretty well. A little jerky, but that was helped after I pointed out that you only use one foot when driving an automatic :)

Jammin'

I snapped a few photos of Dylan jamming in the basement recently. These papers by Graphic45 worked well with them. I love the look and feel of this page.

Play with me...

These are more old photos from when I was little. We're on vacation somewhere... probably somewhere in New England. In photos: Mom, Me and Grampy.

Prima May Challenge

I created this layout using mostly Prima products for a challenge they are running for May. I love these earthy colours, but oh what a time I had finding Prima paper around here! I had to make a mad dash to St. Jacob's on my lunch hour one day last week to get it! It was so worth it, though. I think the products are from about 3 different lines, but they come together as if they were meant to be.

Hootie

...but no blowfish >^..^< We have a new member in our family. She's an 11 year old Himelayan named Hootie.

More to come...

I've been busy... busy... busy... with work, life and of course scrapbooking. On my 'to do' list for tomorrow - photograph my latest projects and get them posted.

...you gave me Wings

This is for my Mom for Mother's Day. (Yes, I know I'm late sending... she expects that!) This pic is her & I. Hmm... I guess we do look alike :) This was taken in June 1972.... I was 6 months old.

My Favourite Place

'The Lake' where the summers were long, fun-filled, adventurous.... amazing. Oh how I miss this place. At least I have the years and years of memories...
  • waking up to the smell of coffee and toast
  • fires burning in the old-fashioned wood stove on cool days
  • playing crib with Grampy... and him NEVER letting me win - but sometimes I managed to
  • Grammy's moo-moo housecoat and her grocery bag hats
  • corn boils at the end of the summer (always fresh from Grampy's garden)
  • friends... family...

52 Sketches... 52 Weeks

52 Sketches is a site that posts a different layout sketch for each week of the year. You can upload your layouts based on their weekly sketches. This is my first time entering. I think it's a great sketch and I'm pretty pleased with what I came up with :) The prize (did I mention there's a prize each week?) is an awesome kit from www.theshakerbox.com. I'm keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed!

Oh the 70's

My aunt, Faye, with a stubbie under one arm and a stick that looks like a cigar in the other hand! I think she still carries on like this today.... lol! :) Fyi - that's my Mom's car in the background.

I love this October Afternoon paper. (There's a little Sassafrass & Imaginisce in there, too.)

More Vintage... with Basic Grey

This is a pic of my Dad with his Great-Grandmother Josephine. Same scowl on his face. Told you - it's always there!
