Treats

This layout is for a layout challenge on My Sketch World blog. I don't seem to be about to bring up their blog atm, so figured I'd at least post it here. All the stuff used to make this layout is old, 'been in my stash forever' stuff (except the border strip from Sassafras' Monstrosity line). I love it when I use stuff up!

Party Hat

These pictures were taken this summer at the Wolfville Nursing Home. We went to join Grammie and have some fun. Too bad the weather didn't cooperate at be a little more summery! Oh well, Grammies hat certainly helped put people in a fun, festive mood!

Ptosis {TOE-sis}

A fact of my life: Ptosis. Until my adult life, I only knew it as 'droopy eyelids'. Many surgeries later I still obviously have 'droopy eyelids', but I no longer have to sling my head back to see you.
Life is not perfect. But in our imperfections... we are perfectly human. - T :)

Timing is Everything

08/01/09 Calgary - Just as I pressed the shutter button, Tony stepped into my shot. I love the effect, though.

Date Night

One Saturday night this summer, while Dylan was still in Nova Scotia. We declared it to be Date Night. Homemade pizza, Coraline 3D and each other.
Journaling: I watched most of the movie thinking it wasn't in colour... my dominent left eye looking thru the green lens made it all look sepia toned!

Love these boots

Becky's boots... they look so happy in this field of flowers :)

I LOVE this City

Calgary - such a fun city. So much to see and do, and soo easy to get around! I'd move here in a heartbeat!

Family gathers here

That's me sitting on Dad's lap. Our cousin's Wanda and her daughter Trish, and Great-Grammy Springhill.

Halifax's Northwest Arm. When Tony & I were first dating, we'd often pickup a pizza and park here to eat it. I'd leave the box of leftovers for the guy who 'lived' here - lol :)

Little Chef

Now almost 17 - his cooking consists of grilled cheese sandwiches and frozen pizzas!

Graffiti

Cool tower on Fisher-Hallman with wicked graffiti!

Northwest Arm

What can I say.... this layout (a close lift of a layout by dmbd's 'Day Tripping July' in the Studio Calico gallery) just makes me sooo darn happy I'm giddy about it! The colours, the vibe, the SUBJECT (Halifax... water...) are oh so me. I did the stitching around the border with my new Singer Pixie machine - it's so worth the $49! This is one of my recent faves, for sure.

Rearview Mirror

I quite like this layout. I took the photo while driving around the Shelburne area. We were at a point in the road that was sheltered from the ocean views, so not much to look at. This is me having some fun while waiting for something interesting to take a picture of. I was originally trying to get Dylan (who has recently developed a distaste for the camera).
I created the layout using scraps from various Studio Calico kits, the camera stamp from the July kit "Documentary" (love it!) , and some other stuff I had laying around - including the wooden letters from the Dollarama.
Props to Megan Klauer in the Studio Calico gallery for the design inspiration in her 'always FRIENDS no matter what' layout.

We took these pics on our recent trip home. We are in Shelburne (Tony's hometown) outside of the only place for miles... and miles... and miles where you can get a soy latte! I think it's called The Beandock ;)

Families are like fudge - mostly sweet with a few nuts. Yes, that's for sure!!!

A birthday party for Great Grammy Springhill. I wish I could get a hat like that now!

My Dad

Now those are some pretty stylin' pants! OMG!!!

Little Hen

Okay... so a bit of an odd title, I guess. I just think babies kind of look like little chickens when they're waddling around with their head bobbing. And I've got the little chicken on my top. Photo was dated: June 1972 (6 months old)
